Friday April 26^th through Sunday April 28^th was the Maryland State Bar Association’s first annual Lawyers Day of Service. This initiative included local and specialty bar associations from around the state and encouraged attorneys to engage in community service projects to give back to their local communities. MHBA partnered with the Bar Association of Montgomery County, the Maryland Women’s Bar Association Montgomery County Chapter, and the Homeless Persons Representation Project to offer several opportunities to participate. The volunteer opportunities included: an Alternatives to the Criminalization of Homelessness Forum, a Pro Bono Expungement Clinic, and an afternoon volunteering at a Wider Circle Donation Center.
