Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler to Keynote 19th Anniversary Gala and Dinner on September 13th, 2012

(Rockville, MD, August 29, 2012) – The Maryland Hispanic Bar Association will host its 19th Anniversary Gala and Dinner on the evening of September 13, 2012, at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland. This event is a gathering of Maryland’s legal professionals and public interest law supporters, and recognizes individuals and organizations that have made extraordinary contributions to advance the underserved causes and members of our communities. The Maryland Hispanic Bar Association proudly announces that Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler will deliver keynote remarks.

The Gala will be held at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland, with the networking reception beginning at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner and dancing featuring the live latin band, Sol y Rumba. This year, the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association will be bestowing three awards for notable service to the community. The Leadership Award will be presented to American University’s Washington College of Law Dean Claudio M. Grossman. The Outstanding Achievement Award will be presented to Attorney Andrew Jezic of Jezic, Krum & Moyse, Wheaton, Maryland. The Public Service Award will be presented to Attorney Manuel Geraldo of Robinson & Geraldo, Washington, District of Columbia.

Net proceeds from the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association Gala allow the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association to continue serving our members through mentoring programs, judicial endorsements, job referrals, policy advocacy, and supporting our community through legal clinics, education and many other activities.

The Maryland Hispanic Bar Association is a non-profit professional organization that serves the public interest by cultivating the science of jurisprudence and, among other mandates, promoting reform in the law and judicial procedure on behalf of the Hispanic/Latino community; facilitating the administration of justice; and, providing a forum for the consideration of issues and resolutions of concern to the members of the legal profession.
