Roy Lyford-Pike
Roy received his law degree in 2015 from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and earned the William P. Cunningham Award for exceptional achievement and service. He passed the bar exam and was admitted to practice law the same year. During law school, Roy was an Articles Editor for the Journal of Business & Technology Law, an active member of the executive board of the Latino Law Student Association, and a volunteer Spanish language interpreter for the School’s Immigration Law Clinic. Additionally, while in law school, Roy worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City (where he tried dozens of misdemeanor criminal cases), and the Baltimore City Law Department. Roy continued gaining trial experience immediately after graduation. In addition to Zipin, Amster & Greenberg, LLC, Roy also trained at an employment law boutique in Baltimore, where he focused on discrimination, FMLA, and wrongful termination issues.
